Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Azul Studios ("we", "us") for your use of the DesireReads app ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

1. Who can use the app

You must be at least 18 years old. The app contains stories with mature romantic and dramatic themes written for adults.

2. Your account

An account is optional. If you sign in, keep access to your Apple or Google account secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete Account.

3. The stories

All stories, artwork and other content in the app belong to Azul Studios or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to read them in the app for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, record, redistribute, sell or scrape the content. Stories may be created with the help of AI tools. They are fiction; any resemblance to real people or events is coincidental.

4. Coins

• Coins are a virtual item used to unlock chapters. You can buy coins through the App Store or earn them in the app, for example through check-ins and rewarded videos.
• Coins have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred or sold. Except where the law requires otherwise, purchased coins are non-refundable once delivered; refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
• Coin balances and unlocked chapters are stored on your device and may be lost if you delete the app or change devices.
• We may change how many coins chapters cost and how many coins rewards give. Chapters you have already unlocked stay unlocked.

5. VIP subscriptions

• VIP gives you access to every chapter of every story while your subscription is active. Prices and billing periods are shown in the app before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• If you buy a subscription with an introductory price, it renews at the regular price when the introductory period ends unless you cancel.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.

6. Rewarded videos

Watching ads is optional. Rewards are given only for ads that are watched by a person using the app normally. We may change reward amounts and daily limits.

7. Rules

You agree not to: use bots, scripts or other automation; exploit bugs to get coins, chapters or VIP access; reverse engineer, modify or interfere with the app; or use the app in violation of any law. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.

8. Apple

• These terms are between you and Azul Studios only, not Apple. Azul Studios, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
• Your license to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Contact us for support.
• If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
• Azul Studios, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection or privacy claims, and claims that the app infringes someone else's intellectual property.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

9. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, and stories may be added, changed or removed.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Azul Studios is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

11. Changes and termination

We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms. You can stop using the app at any time.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Azul Studios is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.
